The 2012 Red Tricycle Totally Awesome Award Winner for Sweetest Sweet Shops, Mrs. Patel’s treats and teas are based on the tenets of Ayurveda (an ancient Indian medicine system) and help increase milk production and boost postpartum healing. Nothing is more important to a nursing mother than maintaining her milk supply, and this company is helping moms do just that. Three different products can help you boost your supply naturally and in a delicious way: Fenugreek Bars, Milk Water Tea, and Munch Crunch.

Mrs. Patel’s was generous enough to share the Fenugreek Bars combo pack, the Chai Spice Milk Water Tea, and Munch Crunch with me and the ladies met through the Jacksonville Moms Blog. The products were reviewed by us all, and the majority of us did feel fuller or notice an increase in supply within a day. Anyone who has taken Fenugreek before knows how strong the flavor can be, and we all found that to be the same with the Original Fenugreek Bars. However, we all really enjoyed the Peanut Butter and Chocolate Bars (who doesn’t love those flavors?!), and I actually loved the Indian spices (such as ginger and cardamom) added. It made for a truly exotic treat when typically lactation aids can be very bitter and earthy in taste. The gritty texture was great compared to some bar brands which can be hard or mushy. This was the perfect consistency. I would eat these even when not needed to product milk. The Munch Crunch was nice added in a yogurt and a smoothie that I had whipped up to sample, and the Chai Spice Tea was a smooth blend.

The photo above is from Mrs. Patel’s Instagram account, which I love to drool over–doesn’t that look delicious?! I love viewing the photos from this hard-working mom who once struggled with increasing her milk supply for her son. The company is founded upon generations of her family’s recipes helping each mother to reach her nursing goal for her and her child. I love the history, the family, and the importance of breastfeeding support shown in this business for mothers.

  1. I am definitely interested in Mrs. Patel’s Fenugreek Bars combo – because who doesn’t like a tasty treat with nursing benefits?!?

  2. I love the ingredients and wholesome nature of these products. As a new Breastfeeding mother, I have been trying my very best to ensure my daughter has the most nourishing milk I can provide. I would much rather eat one of these delicious bars than take a supplement. 🙂

  3. I would love to try the chocolate fenugreek bars! I am currently nursing my 5 month old 🙂
