What’s in your Diaper Bag? The Petunia Pickle Bottom Sashay Satchel

Happy Saturday!

Here’s a little messy mom video for you all — a review of the Petunia Pickle Bottom Sashay Satchel diaper bag.

Shown here is the Travel to Tangier pattern exclusive through Nordstrom. This specific print went on sale right before Petunia Pickle Bottom released their Fall 2012 collection and is now on sale now for a steal at $84. The Petunia website shows their recently released patterns, and you can find a ton of more stylish designs through them online.

This print is shown here in the Sashay Satchel and Boxy Backpack style.

The front exterior has a flap-style pocket. The interior is shown with two side elasticized pockets, two open pockets, and a smaller, zip pocket and key fob.

The video below was filmed late at night a few months ago for a friend who was deciding between purchasing a Boxy Backpack or the Sashay Satchel. I took a video packing the two bags with the exact same items for comparison. Here are the results for the Sashay Satchel review.

Cheers to Big Brim for his video introductions.

Sashay Satchel Diaper Bag Pros/Cons

PROS: Stylish, bright patterns, not a typical “diaper bag” appearance. The perfect bag if you keep your items minimized when out and about.

CONS: I found the shoulder straps to be stiff. If you are an over-packer (like me), you will find that the Boxy Backpack will hold more items more comfortably in comparison. I prefer the changing pad layout on the Boxy Backpack; it saves space by not having to keep diapers, wipes, and changing pad inside the bag.

BOTTOM LINE: This is a well-made, quality, popular diaper bag, and would be perfect for anyone that carries the basics. The bag is durable, has an wipe-able exterior, and receives many compliments on the print.
