While in Babies-R-Us the other day, I was completely surprised by the amount of shopping cart covers taking up half of an entire row of shelving. Are these needed? I feel like these products are targeted for new moms who are often overly worried about germs. They are cute, look comfortable, and contain loops or toys for entertaining your child, and I can also see how the fabric could prevent toys from being passed through the cart bars (which alone may be “worth it” enough for a purchase). Little Brim is officially in the process of outgrowing his car seat this month and we will be putting him in a cart soon to do our shopping if he is not being worn in our beloved boba carrier.
So I’m curious…scroll to the bottom.
Check out the selection at Babies-R-Us.
The selections from Boppy look huge.
This Skip Hop pattern is cute.
What do you think? Do you have a shopping cart cover? Does it double as a highchair cover (which many descriptions state)? Is this a must-have baby gear item? I’m thinking ‘no’ on this one…
